SCENE 01 / CAMERA SUPPORT SYSTEMS
Camera Support Systems
Professional camera support equipment for your Chinese production.
Camera support systems cover tripods, fluid heads, sliders, jibs, dollies, and stabilization rigs. Together they give smooth, controlled camera movement. The right support gear is key to the look a director and cinematographer want for each scene.
We source camera support systems from lightweight travel kits to heavy studio dollies and crane systems. Our team works with local grip and camera rental houses, so compatible, well-kept gear reaches your set tested and ready for your camera package.

Camera support and stabilisation for Chinese productions
Camera support gear on a Chinese production has to span the full weight range a feature or commercial puts on a head. That means a stripped-down RED Komodo on a gimbal for a Shenzhen tech-product hero shot, a fully built Alexa 35 with anamorphic glass on an O'Connor 2575 for a Hengdian historical drama, and a Sony Venice 2 with cinema zoom on a Sachtler Video 25 for a Shanghai Pudong skyline interview.
Our rental team books across Mango Gear Beijing, Beijing Film Gear, Photon Asia, Shanghai Film Studio Rental, and Hengdian Gear Rental to build the right head, sticks, slider, dolly, jib, and stabilisation rig. The pool covers O'Connor 2575 and 2560 heads, Sachtler Video 25 and FSB series, Chapman dolly systems with straight and curved track, Movi Pro and DJI Ronin 4D gimbals, Steadicam Pro and Volt systems, and Easyrig support for handheld days. DJI is based in Shenzhen, which keeps gimbal lead times short.
Each package is prepped at our Beijing facility before delivery. We set head balance against the actual camera build, check dolly wheels and track joints, tune gimbal motors, and cable and weight the Steadicam sled before it leaves the prep bay. Chinese Filmmakers' Association-affiliated dolly grips, Steadicam operators trained at the Beijing Film Academy, and remote-head technicians from the Hengdian and Qingdao Wanda operator pools can be booked alongside the gear when the schedule needs them.
Remote heads matter here too. The Scorpio, MRMC Bolt, and Movi Pro on a telescoping crane handle car mounts on Beijing Sixth Ring Road tracking shots and crane work over Shanghai Bund crowd exteriors. Delivery runs by truck nationwide, with CRH high-speed rail for crew moves between Beijing and Shanghai and air freight when a Tibet or Yunnan unit base needs a same-day swap. Backup heads and a spare dolly travel with longer schedules, so a seized fluid head on day four of a Pingyao heritage exterior does not stall the move.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What tripod heads do you recommend?
For cinema cameras, we suggest the O'Connor 2575 or Sachtler Video 25, since both move smoothly and stay reliable. Lighter setups run well on the Sachtler FSB series. We match head capacity to your camera and lens package.
Can you provide dolly with track?
Yes, we supply full dolly packages with the dolly, track (straight and curved), and all needed accessories. Our many track systems suit different floor conditions and shot needs.
Do you provide operators with equipment?
Yes, we can supply skilled dolly grips, Steadicam operators, and crane technicians with the gear. Trained operators help you get the most from specialized support gear.
What about remote heads?
We supply remote heads such as the Scorpio and Mōvi Pro for crane and car work. They give precise camera control during tricky moves where direct operation isn't possible.
Can you handle heavy camera packages?
Yes, our support systems hold cinema cameras from RED and ARRI with full accessories, cine lenses, and wireless follow focus. We match head and tripod capacity to your complete camera build.
What stabilization options are available?
We supply full Steadicam systems for classic operator work, gimbals like the Ronin and MōVI for electronic stabilization, and Easyrig support for handheld shooting comfort.
