Audio monitoring on a production in China has to read accurately across the controlled stages at Hengdian World Studios, the soundstages of Qingdao Wanda Studios, and the unpredictable noise floor of a Beijing hutong exterior with traffic from Chang'an Avenue bleeding through every take. Our rental team pulls from Mango Sound Beijing, Bird Audio, and Tencent Audio Rental for on-cart consumables, and holds more than a hundred sets of closed-back production headphones — Sony MDR-7506 and Sennheiser HD 25 for isolation at the mixer's position, Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro for the extended-wear comfort that Hengdian dramas and CCTV features demand across long schedules.

Here is how this works in practice. Each set is bench-checked at our Beijing facility before delivery, with replacement pads, coiled cables, and spare adaptors travelling in every kit so a snapped strain relief on day two of a Shanghai Bund exterior does not strand the boom operator without reference.

Beyond the cart, we supply fifty-plus IEM rigs from Sennheiser and Shure for talent monitoring, custom ear moulds available for principal cast, and frequency coordination handled alongside the wireless microphone and IFB plan so transmissions sit cleanly inside the spectrum MIIT allocates to Chinese production audio. Video village monitoring is built out with director headsets, client headphone stations from the Beijing Film Gear and Photon Asia inventories, and active speaker systems for review playback at iQIYI and Tencent Penguin Pictures studios.

The picture on the ground is more specific. Communication University of China-trained sound mixers and Chinese Filmmakers' Association-affiliated mixers run the chain on the day, technical support is on call throughout the schedule, and scaling is straightforward. Dozens of monitoring positions deployable for ensemble drama at Hengdian or large multi-camera shoots at Qingdao Wanda.
