Online conform is the technical assembly stage where every creative decision made in offline edit, colour, VFX, and audio is rebuilt at full resolution against the high-quality source media — and on a typical Chinese feature or series, that means handling timelines that combine ARRIRAW and RED R3D from principal photography, Sony Venice X-OCN from VFX plates, MOV ProRes from drone units shooting Gobi or Yangtze aerials, and graphics packages prepared in Beijing or Shanghai motion-design houses.

Here is how this works in practice. Our post team runs the conform through Avid Symphony, Resolve Studio, or Baselight bays at Base FX Beijing, More VFX, Beijing Film Group Post, or iQIYI Post Production, with frame-accurate EDL and AAF reconstruction validated shot-by-shot against the locked picture before any finishing work begins.

Quality control runs on the conformed master against the technical specification of every destination on the production's deliverable schedule. That spans NRTA broadcast spec for CCTV, Hunan TV, Dragon TV, and Phoenix TV ingest, iQIYI, Tencent Video, Youku, Mango TV, and Bilibili streaming profiles for domestic OTT, Netflix Originals or Amazon Studios specs for international SVOD versions, DCI compliance for Wanda Cinemas, CGV China, and Bona Cineplex theatrical packages, and EBU R128 or ATSC A/85 loudness for international networks.

The picture on the ground is more specific. Automated QC through Interra Baton or Venera Pulsar runs alongside manual operator review covering frame-by-frame artefact detection, audio sync drift, subtitle timing, safe-area conformance, metadata completeness, and HDR static metadata for Dolby Vision or HDR10 deliverables. Issues are flagged with frame-specific timecodes so corrections happen before submission rather than as costly rejection cycles from the receiving broadcaster.
