Aerial drone services in China draw on the deepest home UAV manufacturing base in the world, since DJI is based in Shenzhen. The Pearl River Delta supply chain feeds the local rental fleet with same-day spares. Our pilots fly the full DJI Inspire 3, Mavic 3 Pro Cine and Ronin 4D range, plus Freefly Alta X heavy-lift platforms carrying ARRI Alexa Mini LF and RED V-Raptor bodies. Those rigs sweep over the Shanghai Pudong skyline, the karst peaks of Guilin and Yangshuo, the Avatar-inspired sandstone pillars of Zhangjiajie, the Yellow Mountain ranges of Huangshan and the Tianmen Mountain roads.

FPV pilots handle proximity work for Tmall, JD and Alibaba product films, car launches for BYD and NIO, and the high-speed chase sequences that Chinese drama shoots now book at Hengdian World Studios. Our aerial DPs come from the operator pool that flew on Frant Gwo's Wandering Earth I and II, Zhang Yimou's heritage features and the Tencent-Netflix Three-Body Problem unit. For foreign shoots, we set up the NRTA pre-shoot approvals through our Chinese business partner entity.

Chinese airspace is among the most tightly regulated in the world. Our flight planning starts with the CAAC drone operator licensing under the Civil Aviation Administration of China framework, plus the UAS real-name sign-ups that each commercial flight needs. We file the MIIT range allocation forms alongside the local Air Traffic Management bureau notifications. Urban operations also need Public Security Bureau planning, which we arrange up front.

On the ground, the rules get specific. Beijing CBD, the Tiananmen exclusion zone, Tibet, Xinjiang and the airspace around PLA military sites are no-fly for foreign shoots, so our coordinators plan flight paths around them at the first scout. Heritage shoots over the Forbidden City, Great Wall sections at Mutianyu and Badaling, Hengdian's period backlots and the Terracotta Warriors complex need special CAAC and NRTA permits, which we set up with the Cultural Relics Bureau and the local film admin office.

A few more details matter here. The service line also covers night drone operations, multi-drone shows for the Shanghai International Film Festival, and brand-launch events in Shenzhen and Guangzhou. We apply the Qingdao 40 per cent rebates and the Hengdian incentive scheme to qualifying aerial unit spend, and our Chinese partner handles the 17 per cent VAT invoicing.
