Call sheets carry the whole shape of a shoot day in one document. Working across China pushes that document harder than most markets. Our coordinators draft bilingual Mandarin-English daily schedules for shoots based at China Film Group's Huairou base outside Beijing, Shanghai Film Studio in Songjiang, the thirty-plus permanent sets at Hengdian World Studios in Zhejiang, and the Wanda-built Oriental Movie Metropolis in Qingdao.

Each sheet lists call times, wardrobe and transport notes, on-set contacts, hospital locations, and the path back to the National Radio and Television Administration, the China Film Co-Production Corporation, and the right provincial film bureau when a shoot crosses regions. Foreign shoots on a CFCC co-production permit take on a NRTA on-set monitor protocol that needs records open to government liaison. First ADs and unit production managers expect documents on the morning truck, and those must reach Cantonese-speaking grips in Guangzhou and Mandarin-speaking electricians in Beijing with the same clarity.

Our work starts the moment a shooting schedule is locked. We read the production's stripboard to confirm department calls, talent pickups, and gear moves before the sheet goes out. We also track weather through Beijing's October-to-March air-quality season, Shanghai's monsoon shifts, the karst microclimates around Yangshuo on the Li River, and the high-altitude conditions near Lijiang or the Tibetan plateau border zone.

On the ground, the picture gets more specific. We send sheets across many channels: WeChat Work, email, and dedicated production tools. Read-receipt tracking tells the line producer the document landed before crew leave their hotels in Sanlitun or Jing'an. Daytime changes are version-controlled and pushed in real time, so bilingual revisions reach Chinese department heads and global producers together, while Chinese New Year or Golden Week reschedules get flagged early. The result is a paperwork rhythm shoots can trust inside Chinese industry cadences.
