They hold named contacts at the Cultural Relics Bureau heritage admin offices, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio and TV, the Shanghai Film Bureau and the provincial film bureaus that sign location-specific approvals.

Here is how the work shapes up. In practice our scouts produce the brief in Mandarin and English with photo forms, video walkthroughs and the tech-access notes the line producer and DP need to lock the lookbook.
