Production fleets in China are built from Beijing and Shanghai depot stock that has grown with the country's industry. That means Mercedes Sprinter and Iveco vans for crew movement, Yutong coaches (the Chinese maker that leads regional bus production) for crowd days and large-unit shuttles, Volvo box trucks for camera and grip departments, and a fast-growing fleet of BYD, GAC Aion, NIO and Xpeng electric cars for shoots whose green briefs call for zero-emission basecamps.

Hengdian World Studios and Qingdao Wanda Movie Metropolis keep on-site fleets that productions rent directly when shooting on their backlots. Our rental team arranges smooth handoffs between studio cars and outside trucking for hybrid schedules. Honey wagons, star trailers, hair and makeup units, production office trailers and combination camera/grip trucks arrive set up the way Chinese DPs and line producers expect, with lift gates, shelving and tie-down stock pre-loaded.

Logistics in Chinese cities turns on permits and access. Beijing and Shanghai apply strict commercial-vehicle limits in central districts, so many basecamp cars can only run within set hours. Parking near the Forbidden City, Shanghai Bund or Tiananmen Square needs planning with the local Public Security Bureau, and with the Cultural Relics Bureau where heritage sites are involved. Our team handles permits, scouts swing-set parking in advance, and plans fuel and driver rotations through the schedule. On multi-region shoots — say, Beijing to Hengdian to Xinjiang — we stagger the movement so gear arrives ahead of the crew. Our coordinator stays on call through wrap for last-minute additions, late base-camp moves and the inevitable late-night swap-out request.
