Streaming Platform Delivery

Streaming delivery from China runs across two worlds at once — the domestic majors and the global SVODs. Each has its own specs, ICP licensing limits, and regulatory ingest paths. The domestic side covers iQIYI (Baidu — 100M+ paying subscribers), Tencent Video, Youku (Alibaba), Mango TV, and Bilibili. Each keeps its own H.264/H.265 encoding profiles, audio bed structures, and subtitle workflows in simplified Chinese. Their metadata schemas also tie into MCSC music rights and CAVCA audiovisual rights clearance.

Our delivery team holds today's spec sheets for each platform and builds masters in step with them. On the global side, Netflix Originals, Amazon Studios, Apple TV+, Disney+, and Max each need IMF SMPTE 2067 packages. These carry full Dolby Vision HDR static and dynamic metadata and Dolby Atmos audio beds. They also need platform-specific NPv5 or vendor-equivalent QC sign-off.

IMF assembly is handled at Base FX Beijing, More VFX, and Beijing Film Group Post. The CPL structures are built for lean supplemental packaging. Language versions, forced-narrative subtitle tracks, and trim-pass HDR-to-SDR variants are added as supplementals rather than re-mastered from scratch. This keeps multi-language and multi-format deliveries inside the original asset graph. Subtitle deliveries cover SRT, TTML, WebVTT, and IMSC1 formats based on the destination. Simplified and traditional Chinese plus English form the standard trio, and we build extra language tracks per market.

Cross-border data movement on global submissions is built to comply with the Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law, and PIPL 2021. Secure-transfer pipelines through Aspera, Signiant, or platform-direct ingest keep masters protected through each handoff. Every package ships with a written QC report, so receiving platforms can clear acceptance on the first submission rather than cycling through revision notes.
